Organizee privacy policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Organizee is a folder organizer for macOS made by Creative Elements LLC.
What Organizee collects
Nothing. Organizee has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking. It does not make network connections at all; the app is built without permission to use the internet.
Your files
Organizee only works on a folder you choose, either in the folder picker or by dragging it onto the window. Within that folder it reads file names, types, sizes and dates so it can show you a preview, and it moves files into category folders only after you click Organize Now. When duplicate detection is on, it also reads file contents to compare them. All of this happens on your Mac, and no file or file name is ever sent anywhere.
It never looks inside app bundles or photo libraries, and it skips the Music and TV apps' own media folders, so it cannot rearrange a library that another app manages.
What stays on your Mac
- Your settings and custom rules.
- A history of your last 10 organizations (which files moved where), so you can undo them.
Both are stored inside Organizee's own sandboxed container. Deleting the app removes them.
Permissions
- Notifications, asked the first time an organization finishes, to tell you it is done. Optional.
- Media and Apple Music, which macOS may ask about if the folder you chose contains your Music or TV library. Organizee only lists files there to preview a sort and never changes the library. You can decline and everything else keeps working.
