CopyYo privacy policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
CopyYo is a clipboard manager for macOS made by Creative Elements LLC.
What CopyYo stores
CopyYo keeps a history of what you copy on your Mac: text, links, images, colors and file references. That history is stored only on your Mac, inside CopyYo's own sandboxed container. It is never uploaded, synced, or shared with us or with anyone else.
You can delete any item, or the entire history, at any time from the shelf or from Settings.
What CopyYo does not do
- It does not collect analytics, usage data, crash reports, or device identifiers.
- It does not require an account and never asks for your name or email address.
- It does not read content that other apps mark as confidential (for example, passwords copied from a password manager). Copies from the apps in your exclusion list are ignored entirely.
Network access
CopyYo makes one kind of network request: when you copy a web link, it can fetch that page's title and icon so the link is easier to recognize in your history. This request goes directly from your Mac to the website you copied. You can turn it off in Settings > Privacy, after which CopyYo makes no network requests at all.
Permissions
CopyYo optionally asks for permission under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. It uses that permission for exactly one thing: sending a single Command-V keystroke to the app in front after you choose an item, so the item is pasted for you. CopyYo does not read the screen, does not monitor your keyboard, and works fully without this permission (choosing an item copies it and you press Command-V yourself).
